Andrew Fiordalis, Ph.D. 

I am a chemical engineer with expertise in modeling and simulation, design of experiments, and statistic model building and analysis. My dissertation developed linearization techniques for solving boundary value problems simulating gas absorption in reactive liquids. Specifically, carbon dioxide (CO_{2}) capture in blended amine solutions. I contributed to the development of Design of Dynamic Experiments (DoDE) methodology used for identifying nearoptimal control trajectories in batch processes. My interests include applied math and mathematical modeling, optimal control problems, algorithm development, and data visualization.
